The Joy of Being Seen

This month, my book club honoured me by reviewing both Northern Escape and River Retreat and asking thoughtful questions about my writing process. We met at the Saskatoon Club, and the chef surprised us by recreating dishes from the cookbook I put together — meals referenced in the books. It was a dream come true.

Sharing your work can feel vulnerable, but moments like this remind me why it matters. When people engage with your story, when they ask questions, when they connect with something you wrote — it’s a quiet kind of joy. A reminder that your words don’t just sit on the page; they land somewhere.

Share your work when you’re ready. You never know who it might touch.
