Splash Publishing: Growing Into Something Real

I’ve been working with a couple of clients on their books this winter, and we’re nearing the finish line. I love meeting with them, hearing their stories, and helping shape their books into something they can be proud of.

Each project reminds me how much I enjoy this work — and how much there is to keep learning. Some steps I have to research again and again because I don’t do them often enough. So I’ve decided to create a manual for myself: a simple, one‑pager for each step of the publishing process. I thought Make a Splash Self‑Publishing: Test the Waters Before Diving In was that guide, but I want something even clearer and more practical.

This morning, I spent time behind the scenes enhancing my website to better explain what I do and how I help people publish. I’ve now uploaded eleven books to Amazon, and it feels like Splash Publishing is becoming something real — not just the imprint for my own books, but a reflection of the knowledge, care, and process I share with others.

The image below shows the process I follow to help writers publish their books. And it raises a question I’ve been thinking about: Is it still self‑publishing if I’m involved — or is it simply publishing now?
